Mr. Chinmaya Kumar Acharya

The first year Rural Management students of XIMB got a golden opportunity to interact with Mr. Chinmaya Kumar Acharya, XIMB-RM alumnus having a vast experience in the field of renewable energy.
Mr. Chinmaya Kumar Acharya is the Deputy Director of South Asia Regional Initiative for Energy (SARI/E) and is also related to United States Agency for International Development (USAID), American Embassy. In an insightful discussion, he briefed the students about the different dimensions of this industry viz. efficiency improvement, energy efficiency and emission standards, renewable energy resource assessment, production of biogas units, solar thermal devices, small hydropower units , promotion of renewable energy technologies and last but not the least, career opportunities and growth for rural management students in this field.
On 21st and 22nd of November, Mr. Acharya also conducted an immersion course for the 2nd year RM students on Renewable energy management.
Mr. Anoop Manohar
Mr. Anoop Manohar along with his wife Mrs. Karandeep Gill, both of whom happen to be the alumni of the institute from the 2001 batch graced us with their presence during the last month. Mr. Anoop Manohar is the Regional Customer Marketing Manager, HUL and has previously had an experience of working at Marico India. Mrs. Karandeep Gill after having worked with Henkel India is now a homemaker for her family. Both of them interacted with the present day students with anecdotes about their experience and gave valuable insights into the intricacies of the recruitment process followed by companies.
