Ms Kanupriya Khaitan, PGP 2004

Ms Kanupriya Khaitan, batch of 2004, was on campus on 24th September 2009 .Ms Khaitan runs a family-owned business in Kolkata. What was meant to be a talk on entrepreneurship and working in small firms or start ups turned into an interactive session where she divided the students into groups of five and allowed them to discuss and present their views on what a business should do and what are the differences involved in handling large enterprises and small firms or start ups, after which she gave the pros and cons of working in large enterprises and in small firms.  It was a very informative session for the students as she answered students' queries on the various aspects of working in a family business or start ups.

Ms Sudeshna Nambiar, PGP 2006

On 19th October 2009, our esteemed alumnus Ms Sudeshna Nambiar (Mukherjee), of 2006 Batch, paid a visit to the campus. She is currently working as an Associate Credit Analyst at Standard Chartered Bank. Students enjoyed a very informative and interactive session with her as she discussed her experiences as a Finance major student at XIMB and how her journey from there has been till now. She spoke to the students about her industry experiences giving a very valuable insight into the finance sector. She highlighted the various roles and profiles available in the banking industry and recommended a few steps that XIMB should follow in order to gain better visibility there. It was a very enriching experience for the students through which they got a very realistic picture of working in the banking sector and got plenty of their queries answered.
