X-FIN, The Finance Association of XIMB, had organized Finomics ‘09, a national level finance summit on the latest trends, opportunities and challenges in the world of finance. 

Distinguished guests like Mr Kaza Sudhakar, Regional Director of RBI, Eastern Region; Prof Pulin Nayak, Delhi School of Economics; Mr Arun Pingaley, Head Risk Division, Sungard India; Mr Naveen Kapoor, General Manager, Distribution Business, Feedback Ventures Limited and Mr Neil Chakravarti, Head of Investor Relations and Content Solution Firm, Corporate Storytellers graced the campus by their presence and shared their views in this field for the benefit of the B-School community.

Finomics '09, conducted on the evening of 26th October, focused around the topic “Innovations in Corporate Finance brought on by Illiquidity”. The speakers addressed the topic from all possible angles and answered critical questions related to Illiquidity, its causes and innovations, both technical and financial, to counter the crisis. 

The discussion was moderated by our very own Prof. D.V. Ramana who conducted it in his inimitable style and culminated with a vote of thanks by Prof. Banikanta Mishra, who as usual enlivened the audience with his trademark wit. It was an exhilarating experience for the finance enthusiasts of XIMB.
